- Introduction and Definitions
Welcome to Brashan Chemistry. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms” or “Agreement”) govern the provision of online educational tutoring services by Brashan Chemistry (“Brashan Chemistry”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Important: We are an online-only business and do not provide a physical address for in-person visits.
By booking, purchasing, or using our services (including via https://brashanchemistry.com), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
Definitions
- “Client” / “you” means the parent or legal guardian who is contracting with us and paying for the Services, including where you book on behalf of a minor student. Where a student is 18 or over and books for themselves, “you” also includes that student.
- “Student” means the learner receiving tutoring (usually a teenager studying GCSE or A-Level). • “Services” means the online tutoring, lesson preparation, learning resources, and related support described in this Agreement.
- “Session” means a scheduled tutoring lesson delivered online.
- “Platforms” means Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and/or Google Meet (or other similar platforms we may reasonably choose from time to time).
- “Materials” means any worksheets, slides, notes, question packs, recordings (if any), and other resources we provide.
If you are a parent/guardian contracting for a Student, you confirm you have authority to do so, and you accept responsibility for the Student’s compliance with these Terms.
- Services Offered
2.1 Scope: Brashan Chemistry provides premium online tutoring for GCSE and A-Level STEM subjects, including Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.
2.2 Tutoring Approach: Our services are led by Dr. Erada Oguntoye and focus on core conceptual understanding, exam technique, tackling difficult concepts and tricky exam questions, and student motivation.
2.3 Online Delivery: Sessions are delivered online via the Platforms. You are responsible for ensuring the Student can access the Platform at the scheduled time.
2.4 Educational Disclaimer: We provide educational services and support. We do not guarantee specific grades, exam outcomes, or university admissions. Outcomes depend on factors including (without limitation) student attendance, effort, completion of work, and exam conditions.
- Booking and Scheduling
3.1 Booking: Sessions are booked by agreement (e.g., by email/WhatsApp/telephone or via our website, where available). A booking is confirmed when we have (a) agreed the date/time and (b) received payment (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
3.2 Timekeeping: Sessions start and end at the scheduled times. If the Student arrives late, the Session will still end at the scheduled time and will not be extended.
3.3 Rescheduling by Client: You may request to reschedule a Session by giving at least 24 hours’ notice (see Section 5). Rescheduling is subject to tutor availability.
3.4 Rescheduling by Us: If we need to reschedule, we will give as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative time or credit (see Section 5).
3.5 Platform/Access Issues: If the Student cannot join due to issues on the Client/Student side (e.g., internet failure, device issues, forgotten logins), this will usually be treated as a missed Session unless we decide otherwise in our discretion.
- Fees and Payment
4.1 Pricing: Fees are as displayed on our website, quoted to you, or otherwise agreed in writing at the time of booking.
4.2 Payment Processor: Payments are processed via Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
4.3 Payment Timing: Unless we agree otherwise in writing, Sessions/packages must be paid in advance. We may suspend Services for overdue amounts.
4.4 Packages / Subscriptions: If you purchase a multi-session package or subscription, any usage rules, expiry dates, or scheduling constraints will be explained at the time of purchase. Unless stated otherwise in writing, unused Sessions are non-refundable (subject to Section 5 and your statutory rights).
4.5 VAT: Prices are stated inclusive of VAT where VAT applies, or exclusive of VAT where stated. If VAT becomes chargeable or the VAT treatment changes, we may adjust charges accordingly and will inform you.
4.6 Failed Payments / Chargebacks: If a payment fails or you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we may pause Services and/or require payment by an alternative method. You remain responsible for amounts properly due under this Agreement.
- Cancellation and Refund Policy
This policy is intended to be clear and fair, and it does not affect your statutory rights under UK con sumer law.
5.1 Cancellation/Rescheduling by Client (24-hour rule): You must give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a Session.
5.2 Late Cancellation / No-Show: If notice is given less than 24 hours before the Session start time, or the Student does not attend (no-show), the Session fee remains payable and no refund or make up Session will be provided, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise in writing.
5.3 Cancellation by Us: If we cancel a Session, we will (at your choice) either:
- reschedule the Session to a mutually convenient time; or
- provide a credit for that Session; or
- refund the cancelled Session fee (where you paid for that Session separately).
5.4 Right to End Services: Either party may end ongoing Services by giving written notice. Fees for Sessions already delivered, late-cancelled Sessions, or other amounts properly due remain payable.
To cancel the subscription after the first month, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by sending a clear statement titled ‘NOTICE TO UNSUBSCRIBE’ by WhatsApp, email, or post:
To: Brashan Chemistry.

5.5 Refunds (where applicable): Approved refunds are made back to the original payment method where possible and may take a reasonable period to process depending on Stripe/banking timelines.

You must inform us of any relevant information we should know to support the Student safely (e.g., special educational needs, wellbeing concerns), and you must not ask us to act contrary to safeguarding standards.

8.3 Retention: Call recordings/transcripts are kept for up to 180 days, unless we need to keep them longer to resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or for safeguarding; after which they are deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
8.4 Opt-out: You can opt out of AI-assisted calling by emailing Oguntoyeerada@gmail.com. If you opt out, we will use reasonable alternative communication methods (e.g., email).
8.5 Privacy Policy: For full details of how we use personal data, communications data, and your rights, please see our Privacy Policy (Section 11).

10.4 No guarantee of outcomes: As noted in Section 2.4, we do not guarantee exam results, grades, or admissions outcomes, and we are not liable for outcomes that depend on factors outside our control.
- Data Protection and Privacy
11.1 Privacy Policy: Our collection and use of personal data is governed by UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and should be read alongside them:
11.2 Read together: If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy about how personal data is handled, the Privacy Policy will apply to that topic.
- Complaints and Dispute Resolution
12.1 Contact us first: If you are unhappy with any aspect of the Services, please contact us with details so we can try to resolve it informally and quickly.
12.2 Escalation: If we cannot resolve a complaint promptly, we will let you know what steps we propose next. Nothing in this section limits your legal rights to bring a claim.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where UK consumer law in your favour requires otherwise.
- Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time (for example, to reflect changes in law, our services, or how we operate). The latest version will be posted on our website or otherwise provided to you.
